OUR PHILOSOPHY

Tastes meant to be shared.

Alós began with a dream: to create a restaurant where Greek flavours, fresh local ingredients and the character of Messinia could come together. This vision is brought to life by chef Panos Panagiotaropoulos, whose deep love for Greek cuisine and extensive experience shape every dish on our menu.

“Our aim is to showcase the seasonal produce of our region by working closely with small local producers. We allow these ingredients to guide each dish, while giving them a modern expression.

Through our menu, we want to bring people together around the table—to share food, exchange stories and enjoy a more meaningful dining experience. We hope every guest leaves with more than the memory of beautiful flavours: with an experience they will carry with them and wish to relive.

We want our guests to feel as though they have been welcomed into our home, rather than simply served as customers. These are the values I want my cooking to express: respect for the ingredients, appreciation for local produce and a genuine love of good food.

Because the most beautiful moments begin around a table, with good food and the people you love.”

— Chef Panos Panagiotaropoulos

For us, Greek cuisine is both a privilege and a responsibility. It is an important part of our heritage, shaped by the land, the seasons and generations of shared traditions. At Alós, we honour its authenticity while expressing it through our own modern approach.

FOOD PHILOSOPHY

Our food begins with the ingredients - and with the people behind them. We work closely with local producers across Messinia, building relationships founded on trust, respect and a shared commitment to quality.

At Alós, we approach familiar Greek flavours with care, giving them a contemporary touch without compromising their authenticity. Every dish is placed at the centre of the table, inviting guests to share food, stories and the warmth of the Greek table.

Because at Alós, food is more than something we serve. It is a way of bringing people together.
